The seeds look so small. So do the plants when they’re just peeking out from the ground. But when the actual vegetables are ready to harvest, they’re down-right ridiculous. Just when we had gotten tired of snap peas (who knew you could) the cucumbers started. Made a whole lot of pickles, and then the beans came pouring down upon us. Broccoli was soon to follow, and now there’s cabbage. The summer squash is waiting in the wings and tomatoes aren’t far behind that…. and then there’s the edamame and corn. Why is it that culinary abundance is so wonderful and overwhelming at the same time?
