Maple Syrup

My best friend and her husband Frank live in a house in the middle of their 50 acres, right down the road from us. Lots of maple trees there. Last year for Christmas, Jinney gave Frank the equipment necessary to tap those trees. In the spring, they collected lots of sap and boiled it down. We were the lucky recipients of a jar of the liquid amber that seems to us more valuable than gold. After all, it takes 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup. We still have some of that syrup since we only use it on very special occasions. This year, Frank, ingenious person that he is, built this contraption to make it easier to boil down the sap. Kent, my husband is on the left and Frank, inventor and boiler is on the right.
